James Frederic "Jim" Eichmeier - Class Of 1963

James Fredric "Jim" Eichmeier, son of Albert Henry "Al" (1908-1993) and Voral Loraine (Zimmerman) (1908-1994) Eichmeier, was born 11 August 1945.  He graduated in 1963 from Okemos High School. Jim furthered his education at Michigan State University, graduating in 1967 with high honors.  He went on to receive his medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine in 1971.

Al Eichmeier, Jim's father, was the Lansing Meteorologist, State of Michigan Climatologist and Director of Michigan Weather Service.  Al moved his family in 1948 from Huron, Beadle County, South Dakota, to Lansing.  He was appointed Lansing's Chief Meteorologist by the U.S. Weather Bureau, filling the same position he had in South Dakota.  Jim was preceded in death by his brother Jack, Okemos Class of 1951.

Jim practiced internal medicine on the west coast but moved back to Michigan and became affiliated with Sparrow Hospital.

Jim died 25 July 2018, Michigan.  No obituary was available.
