Richard Walter Johnson

PERRINTON - Richard Walter Johnson, age 72, of Perrinton passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He was born June 12, 1945 in Wisconsin the son of Walter Frank and Mary Jane (Larson) Johnson.

Richard worked for Oldsmobile in Lansing for 28 years, retiring in 1994 as a Quality Auditor. On July 13, 2007 he married Karma Buck in Ithaca.

Richard was an automobile enthusiast and enjoyed traveling to car shows and detailing his cars. He spent many years designing and building the log home he shared with his beloved family, who were most important to him. He also enjoyed bowling.

Richard is survived by his wife, Karma of Perrinton; four children, Paul Johnson of Brooksville, Florida, Kevin (Marnie) Johnson of Kentwood, Roberta (Zachary) Vietti of East Lansing, Pamela Buck of Perrinton; a grandson, Pierce Johnson; his twin sister, Katie Johnson and a brother, William (Carol) Johnson both of California.

He was preceded in death by parents and a son, Mark Johnson.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12 PM at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City with Jerry Haynes and Jeff Litwiller officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
