Daniel Patrick "Dan" Cahill was born 11 April 1942 in New York State. He attended and graduated from East Grand Rapids High School, Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1960. He married Julie Ann Deutsch who also graduated from East Grand Rapids High. 

Mr. Cahill taught English classes at OHS in 1965 and 1966. By 1982 he and Julie were divorced, as she remarried 14 May 1982 Mr. Dwight L. Cain and by 1992 Dan was no longer teaching but working and living in Lucas County, Ohio. Dan died at his home in Toledo 3 February 1992. Unfortunately no obituary was written for the Toledo Blade, main newspaper for Lucas County. A search of paper issues from February 3 through February 8 found no death notice for him. 

Julie, born 9 March 1942 in Michigan died 1 September 1998 in Ohio. Her husband, Dwight L. Cain, interred her in New Caledonia Cemetery, Marion County, Ohio.
