Jacqueline Jane Jane Deiter

Jacqueline Jane  "Jane" Deiter, daughter of Dr. John B. (1923-1968) and Marjory Ferne (Hybskmann) (1925-2005) Deiter, was born 22 August 1948 in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas.  Jane graduated in the Class of 1967 from Okemos High School.  She never married and died 23 October 1974 in Lansing, Ingham County.  Jane was interred in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, Michigan.

Jane's father, Dr. John B. Dieter, was a World War II veteran and assistant director of Michigan Department of Mental Health.  He drowned  16 August 1968 in Acapulco, Mexico.  Dr. Dieter and wife, Marjory, are also interred in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Age 26, died Oct. 23, 1974 at a local hospital.  Born Aug. 22, 1948 in Lawrence, Kansas.  Miss Deiter had been a resident of the Lansing area since 1964, and was a graduate of Okemos High School in 1967.  She attended Lansing Community College and Lansing Business University, ans was employed at Provincial House, Inc.  Miss Deiter was a member of the National Epilepsy Association.  Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Marjory H. Deiter of Plymouth; she was preceded in death by her father, Dr. John B. Deiter in 1968; 1 brother, Thomas Deiter of Lansing; 3 sisters, Sara Ehlinger and Philinda McMurphy, both of Lansing and Pamela Deiter of Plymouth; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Hybskmann of Lawrence, Kansas; 1 nephew and 2 nieces.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Jerome V. MacEachin officiating.  Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
