Paul Gordon Scarlett

Paul Gordon Scarlett, son of Gordon E. and Virginia Elaine (Miller) Scarlett, was born 9 January 1958, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Paul's parents were married 29 September 1956, Lansing.

Paul graduated in 1976 from Okemos High School and went on to further his education at Western Michigan University where he obtained a B.B.A. in 1981.

Paul was working in the family business, Scarlett Gravel Company, when he suddenly succumbed to an apparent heart attack 18 February 1986.  He was interred next to his baby sister, Linda Elaine (1959-1960), Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.

Age 28, died February 18, 1986.  Born January 9, 1958 in Lansing.  Mr. Scarlett was a graduate of Western Michigan University in 1981, he is presently associated with Scarlett Gravel Company.  He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scarlett; brother, Todd Scarlett of California; sister, Mrs. Brad (Sheri) Kroneberger of Colorado; 2 brother, John and James Scarlett of Okemos; his grandmother, Mrs. Frances Scarlett of Holt.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel, East Lansing with Pastor Alger Keough of the Lansing Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.

WORKER DIES OF APPARENT HEART ATTACK

An apparent heart attack killed a 28-year-old Holt gravel company employee who was found dead at the wheel of a front-end loader, a company representative said Thursday.

Paul G. Scarlett, 4621 Sequoia Trail, Okemos, was a son of the owner of the Scarlett Gravel Co., 1250 S. Cedar.  The company representative said an autopsy revealed Scarlett died of a heart attack.  Delhi Township police had not yet received the autopsy report Thursday.
