Fayadelle Hartsuff, daughter of Fay Herbert (1891-1967) and Hazel Dell (Fineout) (1892-1973), was born 13 August 1919 Stockbridge, Ingham County, Michigan. She graduated from Okemos High School in 1937. Fayadelle married Virgil Irwin Hixson 28 October 1939 Lansing, Ingham County.

Mrs. Hixson was Miss Fayadelle Hartsuff before her marriage on October 28 at the home of the Rev. Mrs. O. M. Albig, 401 Jones street. Mrs. Hixson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Hartsuff of East Lansing. Mr. Hixson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Hixson of Lansing.
Virgil Hixson, son of Alton and Floretta (Ferris) Hixson, was born 31 July 1920. Virgil served in the US Army from 17 May 1944 until honorable discharge 4 January 1946. He died 7 Dec 1989 Lansing. Fayadelle died 19 January 1990. Fayadelle and Virgil were interred Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, DeWitt, Clinton County, Michigan.

Age 70, passed away January 29, 1990. She was born August 13, 1919 in Stockbridge, MI and was a lifelong resident of Lansing. She was a member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church; graduated from Okemos High School; attended Davenport Business College and was employed with the State of Michigan, Department of Treasury for 15 years. retiring in 1918. Surviving are 5 sons and daughter-in-law, James D. and Beverly of DeWitt, Ronald I. and Sylvia, Donald F. and Nita, all of Lansing, Joseph A. and Shelly of Okemos, Brian V. and Shirley of Haslett; daughter, Patricia A. Mestemaker of Lansing; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Valieta McCellan of California, Isabelle Miller of Mason and Wilma Martin of Lansing, 3 brothers, Robert Hartsuff of East Lansing, Paul Hartsuff of Grand Rapids and Richard Hartsuff of Mariette; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil in December 1989 and a brother, Kenneth Hartsuff. Religious services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with The Rev. John F. Vogt of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
