Richard Maxwell Raymond - Class Of 1937

Richard Maxwell Raymond, son of Charles Hartman (1891-1943) and Margaret Verlinah (Morrison) (1895-?) Raymond, was born 25 December 1918 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  He graduated from Okemos High School in 1937.  Richard joined the US Army and served from 26 June 1940 until honorable discharge 24 Sept 1943.  He died 17 August 1998 Skagit County, Washington and was interred Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mt. Vernon, Skagit County.

JUNIOR FARMER MEET CLOSING OVER 3,000 YOUTHS OCCUPY M.S.C. CAMPUS FRIDAY; CONTESTS HELD

The future farmers conferred 29 state farmer degrees on member of its organization.  The selections were based on standards of farming set by the national and state organizations of the Future Farmers of America.  Of those named for honor were Corwin Arnold, Adrian, Donald Haggerty and Albert Tanghe, Dansville, Charles Whitney, Leslie, Richard Raymond and Starr Keesler, Okemos, and Archie Magsig, St. Johns.
