Ralph Glen Wilkins, son of Ivan A. (1876-1958) and Lottie Althea (Hewitt) (1879-1968) Wilkins, was born 12 July 1918 Mason, Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated from Okemos High School in 1937. On 14 October 1939 in Okemos, Ingham County, Glen married Laura Maybelle Cook.

GIRL IS MARRIED ON 18TH BIRTHDAY
Miss Laura Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Cook of Lansing, became the bride of Glenn Wilkins of Grand Ledge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erving Wilkins of Okemos, as Okemos Community church Saturday.
The date was the bride's 18th birthday as well as her wedding day. She wore a gown of white satin with a short veil for the occasion. Her sister, Miss Pearl Cook, was maid of honor, wearing yellow, and Nancy Whitmeyer and Christine Holly were flower girls, dress in pink and blue.
The Rev. M. E. Hoyt read the service. Miss Margaret Kelly played piano music and Mrs. Genevieve Van Epps sang preceding the ceremony.
After the wedding a reception was held in the church parlors for 62 guests.
The young couple are making their home in Grand Ledge.
Laura, daughter of Martin and Pauline (Sandusky) Cook, was born 14 October 1921. She died 4 July 1996 Antrim, Shiawassee County, Michigan. Glen died 18 days later on 22 July 1996 in Antrim. Glen and Laura have a memorial site in Hi Jolly Cemetery, Quartzsite, La Paz County, Arizona.

WILKINS, RALPH GLEN
MORRICE
Age 78, died Monday, July 22, 1996 at his home. He was born in Mason, MI, on July 12, 1918. The son of Irvin A. and Lottie (Bray) Wilkins. He graduated from Okemos High School and had spent most of his life in Haslett and Arizona. He married Laura M. Cook at the Okemos Community Church on October 14, 1939, and she predeceased him on July 4, 1996. He was a member of the Shaftsburg United Methodist Church; was active in many church activities including Sunday School Teacher and Choir member; was past Patron of Okemos Eastern Star Lodge and past Master of Masonic Lodge; member of the American Legion, Lansing Chapter of the Spebsosa and member and past President of the QIA. Mr. Wilkins also enjoyed working on silver jewelry and rock collecting. He served in the US. Navy during WWII and was an Electrician and member of I.B.E.W. for 57 years. He is survived by 3 children, Diane (David) Colister of Morrice, Walter (Kit) of Haslett and Gary of Lansing; 9 granchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Naomi (John) Whitmyer; and 2 brothers, Lester and Rex Wilkins. Predeceased by his wife and 1 brother, Dale. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 29th at 5 p.m. at Okemos Masonic Temple, 2175 Hamilton Rd., Okemos, with Pastor Carroll Fowler officiating.
