Ramsay Williams - Class Of 1937

Ramsay Samuel Williams, son of Clyde S. (1889-1978) and Isdell R. (Ramsey) (1892-1975) Williams, was born 1 December 1918 Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.  Ramsay graduated from Okemos High School in 1937.  He joined the U.S. Army Air Corp 15 July 1941 and rose to the rank of Sergeant during World War II.  At one point, during 1945, Ramsay was stationed in India.

Ramsey Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Williams, from Scott flying field, surprised his parents by coming home Tuesday afternoon for a brief furlough and was a guest at the supper.

Ramsay was married twice; Virginia Grace McCoy in 1948 (divorced) and Lula M. McKibbins in 1986.  He lived for a number of years in Pittsford, Hillsdale County, Michigan.  Ramsay died 6 May 1989 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan.  He was interred, as were his parents, in Summit Cemetery, Williamston.  Ramsay has a military headstone.
