Kathryn Eileen "Kate" Hagerman (Eaton) - Class Of 1944

Kathryn Eileen "Kate" Hagerman, daughter of Charles Warren (1904-1969) and Olive Marion (1906-1981) Hagerman, was born Mt. Pleasant, Isabella County, Michigan 5 February 1927.  She graduated in 1944, with her brother Arlin, from Okemos High School.  In 1945 she married James Robert Eaton.  Kate died 8 November 2012 Shiawassee County, Michigan and was interred Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, Shiawassee County.

            Kathryn "Kate" Eileen Eaton, age 85, of Owosso, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her home.
            Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Friends may call on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
            Kate was born February 5, 1927, near Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Charles and Marion (Hanks) Hagerman.
            She graduated from Okemos High School, class of 1944 and attended General Motors Technical School.
            Kate was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. She was a published poet and loved quilting; making over 200 quilts through the years. She enjoyed for caring for her dogs Buster and Katie.
She moved to Grayling in 1955, where Kate was employed as an accountant and later as a real estate broker owning Kade Realty until she retired in 1982. She spent the rest of her years living in Owosso.
            Kate is survived by her 2 daughters, Margie (Richard) Smith of Mt. Pleasant and Lisa (Larry) Snyder of Wichita, Kansas; son, Lee Eaton and special friend, Robin Carpenter of Decatur, Indiana; 5 grandchildren, Robyn (Curt) Utterback, Melissa (Kent) Cotton, Jim (Janice) Smith, Rachel Conley, and Robert Eaton; 10 great grandchildren, Cody, Colton, Kirstyn, Kara, Parker, Hunter, Devion, Lisa, Katlyn, and Devon; brother, Bill (Bev) Hagerman of Okemos; sister, Tina Hagerman.
            She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lois Sundquist and Charlene Thornton; brothers, Arlin and Larry Hagerman.
