Lucile Jessie "Jessie" Linton, daughter of Robert Spencer (1892-1967) and Opal Louis (Holloway) (1893-1974) Linton, was born 9 March 1926 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. She graduated in 1944 from Okemos High School and later also graduated from Michigan State College. On 13 June 1948, in an elaborate East Lansing church wedding, Jessie married Joseph Brian Davidson DVM. Dr. Davidson later became widely known for his publications and practical work with horses. He was, during the 1950's, appointed by the State of Michigan to officiate, in behalf of the Mackinac Island State Park commission, the care and medical treatment for the carriage horses on Mackinac Island.
Jessie died 8 January 2004 Grand Haven, Ottawa County, Michigan. She was interred Deepdale Cemetery, Okemos, Ingham County along with her parents and sibling, Julian (1925-1936).

Lucile Jessie Davidson, age 77, passed away Thursday, January 8, 1994 at home. She was born March 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert S. and Opal (Holloway) Linton in Lansing, Michigan. Mrs. Davidson was a graduate of Michigan State University. She was a Mayflower descendant and member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a champion fencer and equestrian, and enjoyed swimming and reading. Lucile loved animals and was a former resident of Mackinac Island. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela L. (Paul) Linton Hooker of Grand Haven, and Deborah L. (William N.) Hicks of Lansing; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan, Noah, Jacob, Major and William; 2 great-grandchildren, Ethon and Kenzie Jade, and her brother, Robert S. (Patricia) Linton Jr. of Okemos. Her daughter Lucinda Ann and brother Julian Linton preceded her in death. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Deepdale Cemetery, Lansing.
