Richard J. Olin, son of Jay W. (1901-1990) and Elsie Marie (Sessions) (1902-1983) Olin, was born 17 April 1926 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated in 1944 from Okemos High School and entered the Navy. Richard served both in the US Navy and the US Air Force. He married Norma J. Rained 3 October 1946 Lansing.
Richard died 4 May 2004 Florida. Norma, born 13 February 1928, died 4 November 2006 Florida.

Richard J. Olin, 78, Englewood, died May 4, 2004. He was born April 17, 1926, in Lansing, Mich., and came to the Charlotte County area in 1967 from Charleston, S.C. He was retired from the Navy and the Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 113 in Rotonda West, and Elks Lodge 2378, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1933, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10178, all of Englewood. Survivors include his wife, Norma; a son, James of Englewood; daughters Jeanne Rylander of Cape Coral and Tama Lee Sprinkle of Marshall, N.C.; three grandsons; and a great- granddaughter. There will be no services. Lemon Bay Funeral Homes, Englewood Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1230 S. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota, FL 34293.

Norma J. Olin, 78, North Fort Myers and formerly of Englewood, died Nov. 4, 2006. She was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Lansing, Mich., and came to the Englewood area from Charleston, S.C., in 1967. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Englewood. Survivors include children Jim of Englewood, Jeanne Rylander of Cape Coral and Tama Sprinkle of Marshall, N.C.; and three grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.
