Stanley Dale Fair - Class Of 1953

Stanley Dale Fair, son of Forrest Marshall (1896-1960) and Sarah Tena (Bennett) (1898-1983) Fair, was born 21 January 1936 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  He graduated from Okemos High School in 1953.  Stanley married Claudette Pelletier 28 August 1954 Lansing.  Claudette, daughter of Edward J. and Wilma (Weston) Pelletier, was born 16 January 1935.

FAIR - PELLETIER

Miss Claudette Pelletier and Stanley Fair exchanged vows Saturday morning in a double-ring wedding service at St. Mary cathedral.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pelletier, 1005 N. Walnut st., and her husband is the son of Mrs. Sara Tena Fair of Mason and Forrest Fair, 835 N. Seymour st.

Stanley died 15 January 2014.  He was interred Mt. Olivet Cemetery (also known as St. Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery) Laingsburg, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

STANLEY DALE FAIR

LAINGSBURG and Dewitt, MI

Passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the age of 77.  Born on January 21, 1936 to Forrest and Sara (Bennett) Fair in Lansing, MI.  Stanley worked for many years at the East Lansing Post Office, as Postmaster of the Laingsburg office, and retired as Postmaster in Tallevast, FL in 1993.  He went on to work for 10 years at MSU in maintenance and food services.  Stanley was a member of St. Isidore Parish and a past president, long time member of St. Isidore Parish and active with the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed wintering in Florida, flea markets, stained glassing, reading, and always had a great joke ready to tell.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Claudette; children, Stephen (Jo) Fair, Catherine (Dennis) Peskey, Janet (Bill) Barber, Mark (LeDonna) Fair; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 11:00 am at St. Isidore Parish in Laingsburg with visitation starting at 10:00 am.
