David F. "Dave" Dreps, son of Emil F. (1899 East Prussia - 1998) and Lucille M. (Wahl) (1904-1991) Dreps, was born 29 May 1938, Michigan.  Dave's mother was a Lansing school teacher for 40 years.  Dave graduated in 1956 from Okemos High School and was a US Army Reserve veteran.  He was employed as a truck driver for Gordon Food Service in Michigan for 36 years and held a driving record of over 3,000,000 safe driving miles.

On 22 May 2010 Dave married Tamara "Tammi" Sobczek in Alpena, Alpena County, Michigan.

DREPS - David F. Dreps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil F. Dreps, 4520 Cherokee way, Okemos, completed an eight-week course in radio relay and carrier operation at the southeastern signal school, Ft. Gordon, Ga.

Dave died 14 February 2018, Port Orange, Volusia County, Florida.

Dreps, David, 79, of Alpena died in Port Orange, Fla., on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara; a daughter, Carol Dreps; three step-children, Douglas (Hilda) Gehl, Angela Gehl, Andrew Gehl; a sister, Mary Woods; and three grandchildren.

He has been taken for cremation with a memorial service to be announced in the spring.  Arrangements are in care of McWilliams Funeral Home.
