JoAnne Thomas (Barnard) - Class Of 1961

JoAnne Thomas (Barnard)

JoAnne A. Thomas, daughter of Dwight O. (1912-1991) and Ruth (Howe) (1912-1989) Thomas, was born 21 July 1943.  She graduated in 1961 from Okemos High School.

 JoAnne married Gary Neal Barnard.  Gary, son of John Robert and Dorothy M. Barnard, was born 16 December 1940.  Gary became President of Barnard Manufacturing, a company that made pivot pins for heavy equipment.  The couple had three children.

Gary died in 2015.  JoAnne died July 2017, Florida.  JoAnne was predeceased by a son, Tom, and her brother John and parents.  John graduated from OHS in 1964.  John was interred Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge.  JoAnne's parents were interred Deepdale Memorial Park, Eaton County, Michigan.

JoAnne was my sister living in The Villages, Florida with her husband Gary Barnard, who died in 2015. JoAnne and Gary were being cared for by their son Rob. JoAnne was suffering from Alzheimer's for the last few years.
