Pamela Lynn (Johnson) Ingraham, Age 67, entered into eternal life and the warm embrace of her Savior Jesus, son Luke and her parents on October 4, 2016 after a short but courageous fight with cancer. Pamela was born in Chicago, IL on September 14, 1949 and was preceded in death by her son Luke Alexander Ingraham (May 3, 1979 - May 5, 1979), and her parents, Wilbur Eric and Gloria Martha (Vonesh) Johnson.

Pamela is survived by her husband, John Alexander Ingraham Jr. of Lansing, MI her brother, Thomas Eric (Denise) Johnson of Overland Park, KS and her two daughters, Jessica Marie (Sean) Ely and Angela Lynn (Mathew) Sands, both of Lansing, MI. Pamela is also survived by three grandsons whom she loved dearly, Tyler Ely, age 4, Jackson Ely, age 2 and Logan Sands, age 4. All grandsons live with their parents in Lansing, MI.

Pamela graduated from Okemos High School in 1968. Pamela married John Ingraham Jr. at St. Mary Cathedral catholic church with Father Douglas Osborn officiating in Lansing, MI on May 21, 1977. Ed Stoffer of Lansing, MI was the best man and Eleanor (Vonesh) Charchut of Brutus, MI, her first cousin, was the maid of honor. Pamela made her home in Claredon Hills, IL; Okemos, MI; Cos Cob, CT; Ridgefield, CT and East Lansing, MI. After marriage, Pamela and John made their home in Bath Township, Clinton County, MI from 1977 to 1987. With a growing family, they moved to Lansing, MI in 1987.

During her career, she provided child care to many young children that she loved. Pamela was a Girl Scout Troop leader with Sarah Stroik at St. Thomas Aquinas School when her daughters were in the troop. 

Pamela enjoyed over thirty years of friendship with Karen Firos whom she considered a sister.

As a child, Pamela and her family enjoyed summers at the Bethany Beach Swedish Baptist Community in Sawyer, MI. She took her children back to Bethany Beach to share with them her cherished memories.

Pamela enjoyed traveling with her family to visit her parents in Lee Summit, MO; Sun City Center, FL and Bradenton, FL. Pamela enjoyed the warm weather and the gulf breezes of Florida. Pamela enjoyed a close relationship with her mother, Gloria and traveled with her on many trips. She helped her mother assist in the care of her father, Will. 

Pamela was a convert to Catholicism after growing up in an Evangelical Christian family. John and Pamela began their married life as members of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing. Pamela was a member for thirty-nine years. With her easy smile and positive attitude, she made many friends there. She especially enjoyed serving on the Senior Ministry for the parish. 

Pamela enjoyed the baseball seasons of the Lansing Lugnuts. Pamela and John had season tickets and they enjoyed this special time together. Pam was a dog lover and leaves behind two pugs who miss her.

Pamela had a deep love for her family. She felt especially blessed by her grandsons who often came over to play. Pamela deeply loved her Lord. She had a special relationship with her Savior that was an inspiration to her family. She wore out many Bibles with her underlining the passages. She enjoyed many Christian programs on TV, especially those by Joyce Meyer. The last two years, John and Pamela traveled to Grandville, MI to attend her conferences.

Her death was unexpected at this time. She fought cancer hard so she could spend more time with her children and grandchildren. Her smile and caring heart will be missed by all that her life touched.

Pamela will be always missed but her memory will continue through many generations.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing, MI with Pastor, Father Mark Inglot as celebrant. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Rite of Committal will take place on Monday, October 24 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing, MI. Laurel Winkel (1968)

I was so sorry to read of Pam's passing. Pam and I went to school together for many years, and she was always so happy to join us at the reunions. Pam's sweet smile will be missed at our 50th.
