DECEMBER 20, 1949 – APRIL 19, 2024
Susan “Susie” Mae Swan, 74, of Haslett, MI, passed away on April 20, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.
Susie was born on December 20, 1949 to Harrison and Ruth Swan. After Susie graduated from Okemos High School, she went on to have a long and successful career with Lifetouch Photography.
Susie was predeceased by her parents, Harrison and Ruth Swan and her brothers, Brian and Bruce Swan. She is survived by her beloved son, Jeff Foreman; her cherished grandchildren, Logan, Hunter, Jacob and Ethan; her many nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends who were like family to her.
Susie leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and uplift those she held dear. Susie wasn’t just a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, or a friend; she was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support to her family and friends. Her kindness and compassion were boundless, and her generous spirit touched the lives of so many. Her presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her sense of humor and her delightful silliness created moments of pure happiness that will be treasured forever.
Susie Swan will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her love and grace. Susie will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her. As her family and friends mourn the loss of this extraordinary woman, they rejoice in the memories they shared with her and the love she so freely gave.

Sue's obituary mentions that her brothers, Brian Swan and Bruce Swan, have predeceased Sue. Can anyone help me with information so I can create In Memoriam articles for them? The OAA site has Brian as OHS 1970, but I don't see a class year for Bruce. Any leads will be helpful - thanks! Laurel Winkel OHS1968

Sue worked with her mom, Ruth, at Brook Hollow Country Club for some time after high school, where I would occasionally see her, and my parents saw her frequently - they loved her! I believe she also worked at Frames Unlimited in East Lansing for several years. Sue was a delight with a huge heart, and running into her was always filled with smiles. Sympathy to her family and friends who loved her.
