Lyn Ruth VanRandwyk, daughter of Gerrit H. (1923-2014) and Evelyn Ruth (Holtrop) (1927-2012) VanRandwyk, was born 1 July 1952 Muskegon County, Michigan. Lyn's father was a World War II Army veteran who moved his family to Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan in 1965. Lyn graduated from Okemos High School in 1970.
On 1 July 1978, West Chicago, Illinois, Lyn wed Bruce Edward Corey. Bruce was born 6 January 1952, Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Lyn and Bruce settled in Lawson, Missouri where they raised 2 sons; Justin and Steven. The city of Lawson sets within 3 Missouri counties; Clay, Clinton and Ray.
Lyn succumbed to cancer at Liberty Hospital, Lawson on 1 September 2005. Bruce, son of Edward Arthur and Barbara Ruth (Broadbent) Corey, died 22 July 2010. Bruce and Lyn were interred Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo, Caldwell County, Missouri.
