Jim Morehouse

James "Jim" L. Morehouse class of 1973, age 71, passed away peacefully at his home on March 18, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1955, to Donovan and Gladys Morehouse. Jim grew up in Okemos, Michigan, alongside his older brothers, Gary and Dennis. His early years helped shape the strong values of faith, family, and community that guided him throughout his life.

A man of deep faith, Jim devoted nine years to ministry, sharing his love of God and serving others with compassion and dedication. After his time in ministry, he met Beth White in 1994. Jim had a passion for design and creativity. He was especially known for his work in aquarium design, creating unique and beautiful aquatic landscapes. Alongside Beth, he co-managed two businesses, Classic Sea Scapes and Bishop Road Storage, where his creativity and work ethic were evident to all who knew him.

He also found great joy in the simple things in life, including caring for his pet cats and spending meaningful time with family and friends. Jim was a beloved uncle to four nephews and one niece, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
