Cynthia Lynne "Cindy" Hays, daughter of Paul B. and Eda (Tietenberg) Hays, was born 24 November 1961, Saline, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Cindy graduated in 1979 from Okemos High School. She married Scott W. Tomlinson. They later divorced.
Cindy died 1 February 2009, Colorado. She was interred Summit Cemetery, Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.

Cynthia Lynne Hays, age 47, passed away February 1, 2009. Cindy was born November 24, 1961 in Saline, Michigan to Paul B. and Eda (Tietenberg) Hays and raised in Ann Arbor and Okemos where she graduated from Okemos High School. Cindy married Scott W. Tomlinson of Williamston, MI and together they raised their son, Nicholas Scott.
After their divorce, Cindy moved to Colorado in 1996 and pursued her career as a graphic designer as well as working in the field of marketing and public relations. Cindy was very passionate about the work she did in the arts, including nature photography. Her nieces and nephews were her little ducklings and her son was the light of her life. Cindy will be missed dearly by those who loved and cared for her and her generosity and spirit will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her son, Nicholas Tomlinson of East Lansing, MI; her mother, Eda Homan of Longmont, CO; her father, Paul B. Hays (Ruth Ann) of Ann Arbor, MI; and two brothers, Jeffrey Hays (Rose) of Arlington Heights, IL and Michael Hays (Margherita) of Pickney, MI.
Private services are scheduled at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing, MI on February 10, 2009.
