Class of 1979 and my friend. Roger Stewart Omoto Beaverton, OR

Roger Stewart Omoto of Beaverton, OR died on December 30, 2012 at home surrounded by family members. Roger was 51 years old. He was born October 26, 1961 in Dearborn, MI, and grew up in Okemos, MI. Roger earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Oregon, and remained in Oregon for the rest of his life. He worked as a medical technologist for Quest Diagnostics for over 20 years. Survivors include: mother, Eleanor Omoto of Okemos, MI; father, Sadayoshi Omoto (Kathryn Bishop Omoto) of Leland, MI; sister, Katherine Fortin (Neal Fortin) of Okemos, MI; brother Allen Omoto (David Robinson) of Claremont, CA; brother Loren Omoto (Susan Omoto) of Maitland, FL; niece, Helen Fortin; two aunts; one uncle; numerous cousins; and several close friends in the Portland area. Memorial gifts may be made to: The Nature Conservancy or the Oregon Zoo Foundation.
