Steven Edward Johnson, 44, passed away at his home on February 24th, 2025.
Born on September 26th, 1980, in Albany, New York to Spencer Charles Johnson and Julianne Wagner Johnson. He moved to Okemos with his family in 1985, and considered Okemos his home. Steven attended Okemos Public Schools where he excelled in academics, and was a proud member of the Varsity tennis team.
Following his graduation from Okemos High School, Steven attended Michigan State University, his second home. He received his Bachelor's degree at MSU, as well as his law degree, A fierce spartan fan, he could often be found at Spartan Stadium, or the Breslin Center, cheering on his favorite team. He will be remembered for his fun spirit, and his love of all things MSU.
Continuing his higher education, Steven enrolled at The University of Michigan, and received his Master's degree in Public Health Administration.
Steven devoted his career to serving the local community, and fighting for justice.
Steven is survived by his two brothers, Charlie and Jamie. He will be missed greatly by his four nieces and one nephew, and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steven loved his parents, who preceded him in death, and hopefully has been reunited with them. He will be remembered as a strong spirit, with a quick wit, who was always ready for a debate. He will be missed greatly, but as a devout catholic, there is no doubt he is happy and healthy, reunited with his parents, preparing for March Madness.
Steven leaves behind a legacy of compassion, never giving up, and following your heart.
Steven will forever remain in our hearts.
