July 15, 1974 – May 11, 2025
Trevor William Fondren, age 50, passed away on May 11, 2025 from a long illness. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kelli (died August 29, 2022), and father, William Ellis Fondren. Trevor attended Okemos High School, where he sang tenor in the Someko Singers for three years. He is also an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 125 from Okemos, Michigan. He was a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy. Later he attended University of Michigan and was a lifelong U of M fan.
He became a computer network systems analyst and worked for several companies over the years. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved Detroit techno music, working in the yard, planning many garden and landscape projects, sailing on the Great Lakes, and fishing up north. He was also an excellent cook and campfire builder. As an Eagle Scout, Trevor co-led a backpacking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1993. He was excited that his niece will also go to Philmont next year, and will take a memento of his on the trail.
Visitation with an informal gathering of family and friends will be held at the Williamston Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St, Williamston, MI 48895 on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM. A private interment will be held later that afternoon at Prairie River Cemetery, Centreville, Michigan.
