David Nehrhood Young, son of David N., Sr. (1920-2013) and Shirley Ann (Brown) (1921-2005) Young, was born 10 January 1944 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.  His family moved to the greater Lansing area in 1950 and David graduated from Okemos High School in 1962.  David died 11 October 2007 in Ingham County, Michigan.

DAVID N. YOUNG, JR. Ph.D.

Lansing, MI

Age 63, died October 11, 2007; born January 10, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to David and Shirley (Brown) Young.  He graduated from Okemos High School a National Merit Award Scholar and attended the University of Michigan, receiving his Bachelor Degree, attended Claremont University and received his Ph.D. from UCLA in Neuro Psychology.  In very unfortunate circumstances he was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic shortly after attaining his degrees and was never able to utilize and share his knowledge towards his profession.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley and brother, Gregory.  Surviving are his father, David N. Young, Sr. and brother Roger Young.
