Word spread quickly throughout the community Monday that four 2010 Okemos graduates had been involved in a horrific crash on U.S. 23 in Green Oak Township, where the car they were riding in crossed the median from the northbound lanes and hit an oncoming SUV.
Three were killed - 19 year-old Heather Comstock, her 18-year-old boyfriend Matt Kolstoe and her long-time friend, 18 year-old Sarina Seger.
Note: Two adults in the SUV also died.

Sarina Rose Seger Williamston Sarina Rose Seger graced us with her presence on September 1, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Throughout her 18 years of life she was a bright light to all of those who knew her. Sarina was a driving force behind a mentoring program at her childhood elementary school. She loved children and gave all she could to better the lives of those around her. Sarina was one of those rare people who knew what she was meant to be. After graduating from Okemos High School in 2010 she moved onto Central Michigan University where she was studying to be a teacher. Sarina joined her sister Samantha with God on October 10, 2010. She is survived by her mother Cheryl Sellers-Seger; her father Brad Seger; her step-mother Danielle Seger; her brothers Stephen, Zach, Bradley; her sisters Shanna, Sarah, Sharissa, Joellen, and Addison. Sarina will be greatly missed by all of those who met her. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Christian Church, 2215 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, with Pastor Malcolm Magee officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing.
