Went off to Kalamazoo to become a registered nurse. Worked there for 15 years, supervising operating rooms and building new ORs. Helped start/run the first cardiac surgery team there, the first assistant to the surgeon. Had one son and changed marriages. (Tell me I'm not the only one!) Moved to Virginia briefly before migrating to Florida. By this time, I'm on state and national professional boards and publishing professional articles.

I did attend one high school reunion in 1982.

Kept working, of course, finally retiring last year, BUT here's the fun part: In the early 1980s I began to learn about yoga, took 10 years off from practice to do spiritual reading, then started teaching yoga. I still teach four classes a week, do workshops (OMG, I'm even on YOUtube) Oh, all right, it's a trailer: Myth to Mat (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY_kkjufOrs). I do some consulting, helping other yoga teachers build their businesses, via skype. Changed my name to Katie (middle name). Very happily married to a photographer, David, who studied with Ansel Adams. We have two grandchildren who are growing up fast (have you noticed this?), one Jack Russell Terrier (adopted as all our terriers have been). Live in the woods in Northern Florida (yup, the boonies). Bake bread, (I am the machine), scratch cook.

Not at all shy (finally grew out of that)! Funny, cheerful, slender, healthy and happy woman.
