Richard Roy "Roy" Hoskin, born 29 December 1942, died 2 January 2013.  Roy was a 1961 graduate of Okemos High School

Sgt. Richard Hoskin was a US Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was interred Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Shelby County, Alabama.  His tombstone reads: MARINE - YOUR BEST FREIND OR YOUR WORSE ENEMY SEMPER FI

Richard Roy Hoskin, age 70 of Clanton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

His survivors include his son, Lance Hoskin (Jessica); daughter, Wendy Jones (Roy Tennyson); girlfirend, Joan Brown; brother, Bill Hoskin (Mary); and grandchildren, Jacquelin, Hayden, Madison, Jessalyn, Samantha, Hayley and Abby.

There will be graveside service with military honors, Monday, Jan. 7, at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 2 p.m.  Carter Funeral Home directing.
