Richard L. Foerch, son of Marshal Leroy (1897-1963) and Leila Miriam (Young) (1900-1994) Foerch, was born 2 March 1924 in Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated from Okemos High School in 1942. Richard enlisted in the US Army 24 November 1942 Kalamazoo County, Michigan. He died February 2015 Cook County, Illinois.

FOERCH - Roger Foerch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Foerch, Route 2, Lansing, was recently promoted to petty officer, second class, with the signal corps of the navy. He is aboard a destroyer somewhere in the Atlantic. Foerch was graduated from Okemos high school, and was a student at Michigan State college at the time he enlisted in September 1942. His brother, Richard Foerch, was recently promoted to the rank of corporal at Camp Swift, Tex., where he is serving as a gunner. He is also instructing in the art of ju-jitsu. He also was graduated from Okemos high school and enlisted in November 1942.

FOERCH - Mr. and Mrs. Marshal L. Foerch of R. 2, have just received word of the safe arrival of their son, Sgt. Richard Foerch, in France. He described France, in a letter to his parents, as a "good farm country." He received his training at Camp Maxey and Camp Swift, Texas, and was promoted to sergeant a short time ago. He graduated from Okemos high school where he was active in athletics.
On 26 August 1950 Alba, Antrim County, Michigan Richard wed Barbara June Walker. Both Richard and Barbara were graduates of Michigan State College. Barbara was born 8 July 1929.
