OKEMOS BOY'S HEIFER WINNER OF MANY PRIZES

Okemos, Sept. 18 - It's really worthwhile to show at fairs, according to Stuart Moore's experience this summer.  Stuart Moore, an Okemos high student, has a two-year-old Brown Swiss heifer which he purchased from Glen Williams, an Eaton Rapids Brown Swiss breeder.  This animal was shown in three fairs and shows.

As a 4-H club member he received first and grand champion places at the Ingham county fair, thus entitling him to enter at the state fair, where he again placed first and grand champion.  Then in open class the heifer placed seventh and won money; in the Michigan Breeders group it took second and received first in the Howell canton show of the Brown Swiss association.

Young Moore's money premiums totaled $32.50 in these various groups.
