Mildred I. Foster (Heiden)

Mildred I. Foster, daughter of Jay C. (1896-1979) and Adell Mae Culver (1898-1995) Foster, was born 14 November 1921 Michigan.  She graduated in 1939 from Okemos High School.  Mildred married Howard J. Heiden 6 February 1943 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.

BRIDE SAYS VOWS IN RECENT RITES

Miss Mildred Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Foster, Route 1, East Lansing, spoke her wedding vows to Howard Heiden, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heiden of Monroe, in a ceremony held last Saturday at the home of the bride's parents.  Rev. Edwin White of Grand Ledge officiated in the presence of members of the immediate families.

The bride chose a frock of aqua material with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses for her wedding, and Miss Norma Jean Foster sister of the bride, who was maid of honor, wore a gown of powder blue shade with a corsage of pink roses.  Marvin Koster of Dundee was best man.

Miss Maxine Smith of Haslett sang, "I Love You Truly", and Miss Marion Peterson played appropriate wedding marches.  A reception followed the ceremony.  After a short wedding trip, the couple returned to make their home on Lake Lansing road.

Mildred died 18 January 1973 Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan.  Howard, born 6 July 1920, died 24 September 2015.  Howard and Mildred were interred Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan.
