PAIR TO MAKE HOME IN CITY FOLLOWING TRIP

Miss Patricia Parmelee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Wilson of Hamilton road, Okemos, became the bride of Russell H. Kelty, Jr., son of Prof. and Mrs. R. H. Kelty of East Grand River avenue, East Lansing, at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening in the chapel of the Peoples church at East Lansing.  Dr. N. A. McCune read the service in the presence of about 100 friends.

Gladioli and asters formed a floral background for the ceremony and dark green palms stood behind the altar.  The bride's only attendant was her sister, Miss Donna Jan Parmelee, and Donald Kelty attended his brother.  Ushers were Paul Griffith of Sturgis, Don Wilson of Okemos, and Starr Keesler of Dundee.

The bride wore a two-piece velvet frock of wine with large gold buttons.  Her hat was of matching velvet, her accessories were brown, and her corsage of light bronze pompons and talisman roses.  Yellow pompons and white Johanna Hill roses accented the royal air force blue frock worn with brown accessories by the maid of hone.

Mrs. Wilson wore steam blue with bead trimming, blue hat, blue accessories, and a corsage of pink roses and white "mums" for her daughter's wedding, while Mrs. Kelty, mother of the bridegroom, was in black with gold.  Her corsage was of yellow roses.

Mrs. L. B. Sholl, organist, played for the ceremony, and soloist was Miss Ruth Woodworth who sang "at Dawning," "Because," and "Rosary."  For the reception following, attended by about 200 guests, harp music was played by Miss Doris Veith.  The reception was held in the parlors of the church where the serving table was decorated with white gladioli and burning white tapers in candelabra.  The wedding cake, on a separate table, was surrounded by myrtle.

After a wedding trip to Chicago, the couple will return September 16 to live at 312 North Butler boulevard.  Both the bride and groom attended Michigan State college where the former was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the latter was affiliated with Lambda Chi Alpha.
