Lucille Norrine Jolley (Barndt) - Class Of 1938

Lucille Norrine Jolley, daughter of Milo Franklin (1896-1968) and Helen I. (Truax) (1897-1987) Jolley, was born 16 January 1919 in St. Johns, Clinton County, Michigan.  She was a 1938 graduate of Okemos High School.  Lucille married Theodore Barndt 6 October 1940 in Meridian Township, Ingham County, Michigan.

Miss Lucille Jolley and Theodore Barndt were united in marriage by the Reverend Mr. Currey, Sunday, October 5, at 2 p.m., at the home of the bride's parents.  Lois Jolley and Kenneth Barndt were the attendants.  Mr. and Mrs. Barndt are at their home, 1475 Glenwood avenue, Detroit.

Lucile died 19 January 1996 in Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan.

BERNDT, LUCILLE N. (JOLLEY)    (Note surname misspelled in obituary)

Age 77, died January 19, 1996.  Born January 16, 1917 (incorrect year) in St. Johns, Mrs. Berndt was a 1938 graduate of Okemos High School.  Beloved wife and sister, she is survived by her husband, Theodore; 1 brother, Gaylord Jolley of Minnesota; 3 sisters, Lois McManus and Leona Smith, both of Arizona, and Muriel Norris of Grandville; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 12:00 noon, at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing.  Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery.

Theodore Berndt, born 14 December 1918, was a Army Air Corp veteran of World War II.  He died 10 November 2008.  Theodore was also interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos, Ingham County.
