Doris Mae McManamon, daughter of Glen (1892-1965) and Ida M. (Meirs) (1897-1940) McManamon, was born 24 June 1924 in Michigan.  She graduated from Okemos High School in 1942 and married Gaylord M. Larkins 1 December 1943 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Gaylord, born 7 April 1920, was a veteran of World War II.  Gaylord was also a 1938 graduate of Okemos High School.  He died 20 June 2001.  Doris passed away 3 August 2008 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Gaylord and Doris were interred Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ingham County.

Doris Mae Larkins, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on August 3, 2008.  Doris McManamon was born in Lansing on June 25, 1924.  She married Gaylord Larkins on December 1, 1943, who preceded her to heaven on June 20, 2001.

She is survived by her children, Janice (Bob) Brewer of Kentwood, Diane White of Lathrup Village and Gary (Betty) Larkins of Lansing; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7 at 2 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Dr. H. Charles Roost officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lansing.
