Robert Jacques "Jack" Warren, son of Clare F. (1886-1962) and Lula Madge (Deland) (1891-1972), was born 30 March 1923 in Michigan. He graduated from Okemos High School in 1942. Jack's obituary stated his graduation year as 1941 but according to Lansing State Journal, 3 June 1942, he was listed among the graduates of 1942 from Okemos Consolidated School.
After graduation Jack joined the US Navy and serviced during World War II. He married Marceil Dawn Haigh 24 August 1952 East Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.

MARCEIL HAIGH SET TO MARRY JACK WARREN
Linen shower Wednesday night ... miscellaneous shower Thursday night...do half a hundred errands Friday...get married Saturday.
That's the schedule for Miss Marceil Haigh, daughter of Mrs. Lyal Haigh of 2391 Strathmore rd. She will become the bride of Jack Warren of Okemos at People's church.
The Linen shower Wednesday was given by Miss Marian Locke and Miss Florence Locke at 925 W. Lapeer st. Thirteen guests placed their gifts for Miss Haigh on a table centered with a miniature bride and two bridesmaids.
Dessert was served to the guests by the two hostesses from small tables, each centered with a bridal attendant. Games were played, too, with prizes going to Mrs. Richard Chadduck, Miss Eleanor Krueger and Mrs. Lyle Hulbert.
The shower Thursday will be given by Miss Joan Munger and Miss Theresa Cooper at the M. H. Cooper home, 3328 E. Michigan ave.
The 21 guests will be entertained at a barbecue.
Marceil was born 24 June 1929 and died 21 April 2009.

Warren, Marceil D., 79, of Eaton Rapids, retired Marceil's Island Dance Centre owner/operator, died Tuesday. Memorial services 2 p.m. Saturday at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids.
Jack died 13 June 2009.

Age 86, of Eaton Rapids passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009. Born March 30, 1923 to Clare and Madge (Deland) Warren. Jack was raised on a farm on Hatch Road in Meridian Township. He graduated from Okemos High School, class of 1941. Jacke served in the Navy during WWII. An original member of the Epoufetter's, Jack loved the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed coffee and ice cream at Millers.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Marceil (Haigh) Warren; his parents; and siblings, Charlotte Hidy, Nancy Brandon, George Warren.
He is survived by his 2 children, Jeff (Shawn) Warren of Eaton Rapids and Leslay (Mario) Guerrero of Lansing; 3 grandchildren, Nathaniel and Olivia Warren and Tony (Andrea) Guerrero; 2 great-grandchildren, Arianna and Anthony Jr. Guerrero.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids.
