James A. Platz, son of Henry Arthur (1896-1946) and Erma Irene (Tenny) (1888-1968) Platz, was born 8 January 1925 Michigan.  He graduated in 1943 from Okemos High School and served in the US Navy during World War II.  James was also a graduate of Michigan State College.  He married Eloise Mitchell 26 August 1950 East Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  James and Eloise moved to Thousand Oaks, California.  James died 6 March 2016 Ventura County, California.
