Rex Elmer Beaumont, son of George Herbert (1878 England-1948) and Effa Foy (Felton) (1881-1972) Beaumont, was born 6 November 1909 Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated in 1927 from Okemos High School where he participated in Track and Field events.
Rex married a 1928 Okemos High graduate Fannie Edna Williams, 3 December 1932, Steuben County, Indiana. In July 1930 Rex ran for a 3-year elected term of Trustee for Okemos Schools. He was defeated 69-31 by Walter Southworth.
The Beaumont's lived in the Onondaga, Michigan area for many years. Rex died 24 November 1979 Jackson County, Michigan. Fannie, born 15 September 1910, died 20 July 2006 Allegan County, Michigan. Rex and Fannie were interred Maple Groove Cemetery, Mason, Ingham County.

Mr. Beaumont passed away at Foote Hospital West, Jackson, November 24, 1979, age 70 years. Surviving are his wife, Fannie; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Marlene) Kapugla of Grand Rapids, and Rexanne Beaumont of Fennville; one son and daughter-in-law, George and Delilah Beaumont of Minot A.F.B., North Dakota; two grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Beaumont of North Dakota; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Onondaga Lodge No. 197 F& AM, Onondaga Senior Citizens Group, and a retiree from the farm department of S.M.P. Mr. Beaumont is at Patience-Montgomery, Luecht Funeral Home, Leslie, where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. Officiating is the Rev. Roger Wilson, interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason.
