Asa Cudworth, son of Louis Appollos (1887-1956) and Iva Louise (Daniels) (1890-1949) Cudworth, was born 16 February 1911, Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan. He graduated in 1928 from Okemos High School. Asa was one of the key players on the 1928 Okemos football team.

OKEMOS HIGH ELEVEN TO PLAY STOCKBRIDGE
Okemos, Sept. 21 - The Okemos High football squad, will play its first game of the season, at Stockbridge, Friday. J. E. Soper, the new coach believes the team to be well organized. All except two members of last year's squad are on the team.
Following is the lineup: Cleo Beaumont, Fred Miles, Sterling Alf, Tom Hudson, James Heathman, Ralph Webster, Asa Cudworth, Orla Currier, Fred Whitmyer, Martin Ohm, Rex Wilkins Andrew Stough and Ralph Strayer.
Asa married Barbara Hodson 15 April 1933, Okemos, Ingham County. The couple had 2 children. Asa, who retired from the Michigan State Highway Department, died 11 February 1986, Lansing, Ingham County. Barbara, born 9 April 1912, died 17 August 1989 Lansing. Asa and Barbara were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.

Age 74, died February 11, 1986. Born February 16, 1911 in Okemos. Mr. Cudworth was employed with the Michigan State Highway Department. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; 1 daughter, Mrs. Dan (Carol) Underwood of big Rapids; 1 son, Alan Cudworth of Williamston; 6 grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Bishop of Houghton Lake. Funeral services will e held Friday, 1 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel, East Lansing with the Rev. Dr. John E. Cermak, Pastor of Okemos Community Church officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.
