The older residents of Okemos will be interested in a communication received by Mrs. Helen Hussler from Carlsbad, Cal., telling of the death of Mrs. Lettie Pickett, 78 years of age, last Friday. The Pickett family were old time residents of this community and lived on the farm now owned by John Angell. Mrs. Pickett had been very active up to a few days before her death, having even made a mountain trip and an out-door sleeping camp just recently. She is survived by the daughter, Ruth, at home with the mother in Carlsbad, and Mrs. Anna Gurney of Washington, D.C.
Ruth died 25 April 1947, San Diego County. She was interred Oceanview Cemetery, Oceanside, Sand Diego County. Her father was interred in 1917 Riverside Cemetery, Okemos. Her mother's grave is unknown.
