Donald F. "Don" Fichter, son of Karl Fredrick "Fred" (1896 Germany - 1971) and Rose (Jansen) (1902-1997) Fichter, was born 29 June 1928, Michigan.  He graduated in 1945 from Okemos High School.  Don was a US Marine Corps veteran. 

Don rose, in his employment career, to become the executive director of Michigan Municipal Finance Commission (MFC).  He married Joyce Carter and the couple had a daughter and son.  The son died as an infant 5 May 1961.

Don died 15 July 2008, DeWitt, Clinton County, Michigan.
