Lena Mae Preston (Mosher) - Class Of 1926

Lena Mae Preston, daughter of Edward Lafayette (1883-1974) and Mary Ella (Heminger) (1886-1960) Preston, was born 17 July 1907, Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1926 from Okemos High School.

Lena married Alfred Renus Mick, 4 June 1927, Ingham County.  Alfred, born 1 December 1897, Gratiot County, Michigan, worked for many years at Fisher Body in Lansing.  He retired from there in 1957.  Alfred died 14 August 1971, Lansing.  Lena married widower Stevens A. Mosher in 1973.

Stevens, born 17 June 1905, Eaton County, Michigan, died 24 September 1983, Ingham County.  Lena was not listed as wife in Stevens' 1983 Lansing State Journal obituary nor was Stevens mentioned in Lena's 1989 Lansing State Journal obituary.  Lena died 18 December 1989, Lansing.

Lena was interred near Alfred Mick, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, DeWitt, Clinton County, Michigan.

FORMERLY OF LANSING

Daughter of Ella and Edward Preston, born July 17, 1907 in Williamston; died December 18, 1989 at the age of 82.  Mrs. Mosher retired from Michigan Miller's Mutual Insurance Company and was a member of Pennway Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 year, Alfred (1971); and 2 brothers, Leon and Robert Preston. Surviving are 1 son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Carol Mick of Menominee; 6 grandchildren; 1 sister, Ilene Baldwin of Eaton Rapids; also a very dear friend and companion, Wendell Smith of Charlotte.  Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Rolland E. Daniels, Pastor of the Pennway Church of God officiating.  Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
