Delores Marie Viane, daughter of Henry Morrison (1894-1988) and Lydia Ruth (Collins) (1896-1985) Viane, was born 16 March 1918, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1936 from Okemos High School.  Delores married Lawrence Ellwood Bannon 15 June 1946, Lansing.  Lawrence was a World War II naval veteran.

CHURCH CEREMONY UNITED LOCAL COUPLE

Rev. Fr. William Koenigsknecht united in marriage Miss Delores Marie Viane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Viane of Holt, and Lawrence E. Bannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Bannon, 905 Hickory street, June 15, before 150 guests in Church of the Resurrection. 

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Patricia Viane, and Samuel Daher was groomsman.  Ushers were Henry Viane, jr., and Robert J. Lundberg, brother and brother-in-law of the bride.  Miss Ursula Kline played the traditional wedding music, and Miss Rosemary Zimmer and James Garvey sang.

A wedding breakfast was served at the Hut, and during the afternoon, the bridal couple received guests at the Reo clubhouse.  Mrs. Theron C. Jones presided at the bride's table.

The couple honeymooned in Chicago and are making their home with the bridegroom's parents until their home in Okemos is completed.  The bridegroom was discharged from the navy in December after four years of service.

Lawrence and Delores raised 3 children and were married nearly 40 years when Delores died 6 June 1984, Midland, Midland County, Michigan.  Lawrence, born 10 November 1917, Lansing, died 17 June 1999, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Lawrence and Delores were interred Mount Forest Township Cemetery, Pinconning, Bay County, Michigan.

AUBURN, MI

Age 66, died June 6, 1984.  Born March 16, 1918, Lansing.  Delores worked as a receptionist for 2 dentists, Dr. Rouliou and Dr. Copus for 15 yrs.  Delores was an active member of National Association of Square Dancing Club until 1 yr. ago.  Delores graduated from Okemos High School.  She is survived by husband, Larry; 2 sons, Mark of Saginaw and David of Alliance, NE; 1 daughter, Ellen Peckham of Bay City; 7 grandchildren; parents Henry & Ruth Viane of St. Lawrence Dimondale Center; 1 brother, James Viane of Boca Raton, FL; 4 sisters, Phyllis Lundbery & Mildred Watkins of Lansing, Patricia Hanna of Midland and Mary Lou Clark of Ortenville, MI.  Memorial wake services for Delores will be held Sat. June 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cunningham Taylor Funeral Home, 312 W. Midland Rd., Auburn, MI
