East Lansing - Bruce Alan Dahnke, age 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018. Bruce was born on January 26, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from Okemos High School ('80) and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Michigan State University ('88). For many years, Bruce had a successful career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist. His favorite activities included golfing, boating in northern Michigan, and cheering on his beloved Michigan State Spartans. He was immensely proud of both of his daughters' many accomplishments and especially loved his time coaching soccer at St. Martha School. Bruce was recently preceded in death by his father, Gordon; brother, Jeff; and nephew, Lane. He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy; beautiful daughters, Morgan and Macy; sister, Debra (Marty); and former wife, Kara Kurth Dahnke. Bruce will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and they are comforted knowing that he is finally at peace and can rest with the Lord. A private prayer service has been held and a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date. The family is being served by Palmer Bush & Jensen Funeral Homes.
