Paul Benjamin Sikarskie, son of David L. (1937-1999) and Marcia (Blum) Sikarskie, was born 3 February 1967, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Paul's parents later divorced. Paul graduated in 1985 from Okemos High School, in 1991 from Michigan Technological University and at the time of his death was a graduate student at Michigan State University.
Paul's mother was a professional culinary caterer and teacher. His father was, at the time of his 1999 death, Professor and Director of Special Projects in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics at Michigan Tech.
Paul died unexpectedly 23 July 1994, Lima, Washtenaw County. He was interred Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, Emmet County, Michigan.

Paul Benjamin Sikarskie, age 27, died suddenly on July 23, 1994. Born February 3, 1967 in Ann Arbor, Paul was a graduate of Okemos High School, class of 1985. He received a BS in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1991; and was currently a graduate student in Civil Engineering at MSU. Paul was a member of People Church in East Lansing and was active in the Peoples Church Steven's Ministry. Paul is survived by his mother, Marcia Blum Sikarskie of Okemos; father, David L. and stepmother, Martha Banks-Sikarskie; and half-brother, James B. Sikarskie, all of Houghton; sister, Anya M. Sikarskie of Boston, MA; brother, David L., Jr.; and nephew, Ryan Sikarskie of Ann Arbor; grandfather, Dr. Benjamin B. Blum of Petoskey; maternal aunts, Mary LaTocha of Mackinaw City, Beth (Walter) Poquette and Bonnie (Dr. Robert) Charles of Petoskey; paternal aunts, Judy (Gene, III) Smith of Waterford, CT, Ruth Jean (Armando) Lopez of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Paula (Rick) Krempin of Rochester, NY; stepsisters, Lari (Patrick) Hayhoe of Mason and Amy (William) Townes of Norfolk, VA; numerous cousins, great-uncles and aunts, step-nieces and nephews. Paul was a kind and gentle person, loved by all who knew him. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed cooking. He was devoted to working with young people. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. in Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River, East Lansing, with The Rev. Drs. Richard E. Murdock and Mary A. Hansen, and The Rev. John V. Folkers, Ministers, officiating. Interment will be Thursday, July 28 at 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, MI.
