Clarence V. Nye - Class Of 1934

Clarence V. Nye, son of William Reed (1897-1952) and Hazel Isabel (French) (1896-1967) Nye, was born 1915, Wexford County, Michigan.  Clarence graduated in 1934 from Okemos High School.  While in high school Clarence participated in Boy Scouts.

Clarence married 10 April 1927, East Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan, Geneva M. Alger.  The couple had 3 children.  Geneva had a long employment career as an accountant with the East Lansing Public Schools system.  Clarence was employed at Oldsmobile.  He died, age 39, 2 July 1954, Lansing, Ingham County.  Geneva, born 23 November 1914, Michigan, died 28 April 2006, Michigan.  Clarence and Geneva were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos, Ingham County.

CLARENCE V. NYE

6067 GIBSON ST., EAST LANSING

Age 39 years, died Friday morning, July 2, 1954 at a local hospital.  Mr. Nye had been a resident of this area for 17 years and was employed at Oldsmobile.  He was a member of the Towar Hart Community church.  Survivors are the wife, Geneva; 1 son, Clarence, Jr.; 2 daughters, Patricia and Mary, all at home; the mother, Mrs. Hazel Nye, Shaftsburg; 2 brothers, Carl Nye and Howard Nye both of Lansing; 1 sister Mrs. Betty Cole, Shaftsburg.  The body is at the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
