Donald Joe "Don" Spross, son of Otto J. (1891-1960) and Sylvia J. (Lewis) (1892-1987; she remarried with surname of Johnson at death) Spross, was born 5 May 1916, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Don graduated in 1934 from Okemos High School.  He married Patricia E. McNitt (1913-1999) on 2 August 1940, Williamston, Ingham County.  The couple divorced 19 September 1947, Ingham County.  Don married Elizabeth Henrietta Walt 16 September 1950, Reese, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Don and Elizabeth's marriage lasted until Don's death 7 February 2003, Lansing.  Elizabeth, born 21 December 1911, died 17 August 2007, East Lansing, Ingham County.  Don and Elizabeth were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos, Ingham County.

DONALD J. SPROSS

LANSING, MI

A very loving husband and father was born May 5, 1916 in Lansing; died February 7, 2993, at the age of 86.  Mr. Spross owned and operated Spross Realty in Lansing and was a lifelong member of the NRA.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, traveling and gardening.  Surviving are Elizabeth, his wife of 52 years, whom he married on September 16, 1950, in Reese, MI; son, Harold Spross of Ottawa, IL; half-sister, Irene Nelson of Montague; sister-in-law, Mary Bullen of Mason and Jean Walt of Reese; step-grandchild, Michael Dazy, and his wife, Karen Annis Dazy; step-great-grandchildren, Michael and Anna Dazy; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing.  Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.
