Eloise Lucile Morris (Terberg)

Eloise Lucile Morris, daughter of Leslie Dana (1894-1985) and Josephine L. (Male) (1897-1978) Morris, was born 16 June 1917, Michigan.  Her parents divorced and married others when Eloise was very young. Eloise was the only child of the marriage.  She remained living with her father in Ingham County, Michigan.  Eloise graduated salutarorian from Okemos High School in 1934.

On 19 June 1937 Eloise married Harry Edward Nestell, East Lansing, Ingham County.

MASON GIRL WEDS LOCAL YOUNG MAN

Miss Eloise Morris, daughter of I. D. Morris of Mason, became the  bride of Harry Nestell of Lansing, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Nestell of Williamston, Saturday in the chapel of the Peoples church in East Lansing.  The Rev. N. A. McCune officiated at the ceremony.

The bride wore a white satin gown designed on simple lines with a short veil and carried a bouquet of Johanna Hill roses.  Her maid of honor, Miss Marguerite Hynes of Nashville chose a yellow mousseline de sole formal afternoon gown, and carried a bouquet of yellow roses and delphinium.

Lyle Seger of Pentwater was best man and Lowell Edington and Milfred Meyer were ushers.  The wedding march from "Lohengrin" and the Recessional were played on the organ by Mrs. Helen Roberta Beholl.

The chapel was decorated with palms and candelabra holding  burning tapers.  Tiffany baskets with bouquets of peonies were placed on either side of the altar.

Following the wedding a reception for about 40 guests was held at the bride's home in Mason.  A bridal cake centered the table.  The couple will make their home in Lansing following a short wedding trip.

 

Harry, born 16 March 1906, Michigan, died 4 June 1962, Los Angeles County, California.

HARRY NESTELL

Funeral services were held in Long Beach, Cal., Wednesday for Harry Nestell, 56, former Lansing resident who died unexpectedly Sunday.  Mr. Nestell worked at Fisher Body in Lansing until he was transferred to California 10 years ago.  He is survived by the widow, Eloise, and two daughter, Jan and Roberta, both at home.

 

Eloise married William John Terberg 2 March 1969, Los Angeles City, California.  William, born 24 June 1918, died 23 March 1990.  Eloise died 23 July 2010, California.
