VOLKER-MARZEN RITES SOLEMNIZED

Trinity Lutheran parsonage was the scene of a wedding Saturday evening when Miss Mildred Volker, daughter of Mrs. Vera Volker, became the bride of George Marzen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Evans of Okemos.  The Rev. Mr. Philip Schroeder read the marriage service.

Rose was combined with black to form the dress worn by the bride, and her corsage was of sweet peas and tea roses.  Mrs. Leonard Robinson attended her sister in a dress of Alice blue and black, with iris and daffodils forming her corsage.  Mr. Robinson served as best man.

Following the service, a reception was given for about 20 friends at Hunt's Food shop, East Lansing, after which the couple left for a short honeymoon.  Mr. and Mrs. Marzen will make their home in Lansing.
