Tommy E. Allen

Tommy E. Allen, son of Forest Gail (1925-1986) and Ollie Erlene (Cox) (1927-1991) Allen, was born 22 November 1949, Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland.  Tommy attended Okemos High School with the class of 1968.  His parents and siblings lived on Hatch Road, Okemos.

Tommy joined the US Army in 1967, served a tour of duty in Vietnam and rose in rank to SP5 before honorable military discharge in 1972.  He married Christine Roosa 6 August 1970, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan and they had 3 children during their 29 years of marriage.

Tommy died 30 January 2000, Florida.  He was interred Oak Plain Cemetery, Shaftsburg, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

FORMERLY OF THE SHIAWASSEE COUNTY AREA

Age 50, died in Florida on Sunday, January 30, 2000.  He was born November 22, 1949 in Aberdeen, Maryland to Forest G. and Ollie E. (Cox) Allen.  He attended Okemos schools and on August 6, 1970 he married Christine Roosa in Lansing.  He was a past Bath Legion member and served with the United States Army from 1967-1972.  He worked as a contractor.  He is survived by his wife, two daughters; Dawn (Chad) Curtis and Staci Allen; son, Tommy Allen II, all of Perry; three grandchildren, Chelsea and Corbin Curtis and Kelsi Allen; three brothers, Jim, William and Samuel Allen, of Lansing; sister, Sharon (James0 Childs of Lansing; also many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents.  Funeral services will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes (LaRowe Chapel) of Perry on Thursday, February 3, 2000 at 11 a.m. burial is at Oak Plain Cemetery.
