Spencer David Worthington, son of James Roy (1883-1952) and Mable V. (Hewitt) (1886-1948) Worthington, was born 2 September 1903, Ingham County, Michigan.  He graduated in 1924 from Okemos High School.

Spencer married Margaret Cornell 18 July 1925 in Okemos.  The couple would raise 2 sons and 2 daughters together.  Sadly their oldest child, Eunice Gertrude, a 1944 OHS graduate, was killed in a June 1945 auto accident in Ingham County. 

Spencer was employed for many years at Oldsmobile in Lansing.  He and Margaret celebrated 61 years together before Spencer died 25 January 1987.  Margaret, born 18 May 1907, Ingham County, died 3 May 1991, Ingham County.  Spencer and Margaret were interred Glendale Cemetery with daughter Eunice.
