Ralph Morris Whitmyer, son of Freeman Forney (1885-1955) and Bessie Belle (Layer) (1886-1964) Whitmyer, was born 06 November 1919, Ingham County, Michigan.  In 1937 Ralph graduated from Okemos High School.  He married Juanita G. Burkhart, who listed her occupation as a telephone operator, 8 January 1939, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

Ralph, by 1940, was living in Perry, Shiawassee County and employed at General Motors Forge Plant, Lansing.  He entered the US Marine Corps in 1943 and was honorable discharged from service in 1946.  Sadly in June of 1942 Ralph and Juanita lost an infant son, David Eugene Whitmyer, only 6 days after his birth.  David was interred Rose Lawn Cemetery, Perry.

Ralph and Juanita celebrated 46 years of marriage before Ralph died 8 November 1985, Arizona.  Juanita, born 14 November 1919, Bellevue, Eaton County, Michigan, passed away 10 September 2003, Warsaw, Kosciusko County, Indiana.  Ralph and Juanita were interred Oakwood Cemetery, Kosciusko County.
